Jeff Osburn was a successful veteran of the food industry when he became deeply curious about coffee, how it’s grown, roasted, extracted, and ultimately enjoyed. That curiosity led him to open his own coffee shop in 2011 in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas.

After two years, Jeff started researching ways to streamline operations and eventually shifted his focus to building a system that could deliver high-quality coffee without on-site staff. That idea became the intelliCafé, an autonomous coffee system where customers can order, pay, and receive their drink without any staff intervention.

While operating in the vending space with the intelliCafé, Jeff saw the potential for a cold brew concentrate-based version of the system. This approach would lower machine costs, speed up brew times, and reduce cleaning demands compared to a bean-to-cup model. But there was one major hurdle: no cold brew concentrates on the market met the quality he was after.

So Jeff began developing a new manufacturing process to produce a concentrate capable of delivering exceptional coffee, whether served as true cold brew, hot coffee, or even as an espresso substitute in drinks like lattes and macchiatos.

Alongside its autonomous vending solutions, Canopy Point Coffee now offers high-quality concentrates to the foodservice industry.

Jeff’s vision laid the foundation for what Canopy Point is today: a company driven by curiosity, innovation, and a passion for making exceptional coffee more accessible.
